  • Illusion setting is a sophisticated technique used in jewelry design where diamonds are mounted in such a way that no metal is visible to hold them in place. This is achieved by carefully grooving the gemstones and fitting them into a metal framework underneath, allowing them to sit flush with one another. The result is a continuous surface of gemstones that gives the appearance of floating, creating a striking visual effect and allowing the stones to capture light unimpeded by any visible prongs or bezels.
